1º_ Puerperal fever that can be a symptom of metritis, inflammation of the uterus. 2º_ It is an ironic euphemism to name "nymphomania", the "female hypersexuality", as if it were an infectious fever (in its double sense), a physical disease. The "uterine" would be a license for vaginal, perhaps for clitoral.
